A Note From the Chorus Director, Debbie Thistle

I like to sing, do you?

My love of singing brought me into this organization; my love of this organization keeps me singing! Even though I am now directing the chorus, I began my journey as a woman who really loved music and singing. At the time I was working full time and had a 2 year-old daughter. I complained to my husband that I didn't have enough time to do everything I needed to do. But after joining the chorus, I realized that my problem was that I didn't have enough time for ME! So every Tuesday, I get to be just ME--not a mom, or a wife, or an employee, but just me! We work hard at learning the art of barbershop singing; education is a big part of Sweet Adelines. We have competitions, retreats, and workshops to help make us better singers. We also have lots of fun and fellowship as we all work toward the same vision of becoming better singers and performers. So put on those false eyelashes and sequins, and come and join us for fun, friendship, and lots of singing!
